Insurance Information
Golden Crest Counseling, LLC is out-of-network with all insurance companies. This means that all client's services are paid for upfront, and that all clients receive a monthly superbill (which is a detailed receipt for services that can be submitted to the insurance company for reimbursement). This makes the final cost similar to a copay after a client's deductible has been met. We also use an equitable sliding scale with our clients to ensure affordability.
Being an out-of-network mental provider is important to us, because we believe that our clients and their caregivers should have the right to decide: -Whether or not they want a diagnosis or to label their child with a mental health disorder (please note that a diagnosis is required for insurance reimbursement)... -What kind of mental health treatments are most effective and appropriate for their child to best meet their needs (out-of-network providers have more flexibility to tailor treatment plans to their clients without the constraints of insurance regulations)... -How many sessions are necessary throughout the course of their child's treatment and how much time their child needs for therapy (as managed care companies may cut off payment for services they no longer deem necessary or impose session limits on therapy)... -The focus of their child's therapy sessions (there may not be a therapist within your insurance network that specializes in the needs or specific issues your child has, especially if they are complex)... -Who they want to have access to their child's confidential therapy notes (there is a higher level of privacy, as insurance companies require documentation and will sometimes even access client records)...

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health services will cost. Under the law, mental health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for psychotherapy services.
